All the hard drives arrived and the Synology DiskStation DS712+ is finally online. Currently it is verifying the hard disks.
Synology DiskStation DS 712+ has only 2 hard drive bay, but it can be expanded using Synology 5-Bay Plug-n-Use Expansion Unit.

It’s leap day 2012 Microsoft released Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
I’m downloading it using a convertible Tablet PC running Windows 8 Developer Preview.

Apple confirms “March of the iPad 3” event.
The Loop reports that Apple announces iPad event for March 7 in San Francisco.
“We have something you really have to see. And touch.”
We received the words back in December 2011 that the next iPad which is expected to carry the name iPad 3 would be coming in March 2012. According on a source who claimed to have a firstname@apple.com email:
- iPad 3 display has double the horizontal and vertical resolution, but the term “Retina Display” was not even mentioned once.
- iPad 3 would be compatible with the current Smart Cover.
Key Apple employees are currently in Foxconn China factory, according to various sources.
As usual, we will be aggregating links to sites who would be providing live report from the event.

Let’s see. A $0.30 worth of merchandise with $89.40 shipping & handling. That makes a lot of sense. Apparently this particular third party seller at Amazon doesn’t want to pay the marketplace percentage fee. The $89.90 shipping & handling fee is for standard shipping too.
