Apple Releases OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4

Apple releases OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 Build 12E55 on Tuesday June 4, 2013. The same build that was seeded to developers on May 24, 2013.

The 10.8.4 update is recommended for all OS X Mountain Lion users and has features and fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac, including the following:

  • Compatibility improvements when connecting to certain enterprise Wi-Fi networks
  • Microsoft Exchange compatibility improvements in Calendar
  • A fix for an issue that prevented FaceTime calls to non-U.S. phone numbers
  • A fix for an issue that may prevent scheduled sleep after using Boot Camp
  • Improved VoiceOver compatibility with text in PDF documents
  • Includes Safari 6.0.5

Pagliaccio Lego Minifigures

My friend was so excited to have gotten a Pagliaccio Lego Minifigure (also known as Sad Clown). Pagliaccio is a character from the opera Pagliacci. Fans of Seinfeld should be familiar with Pagliacci as it is the central them of the episode titled “The Opera“.

Camino Browser Reaches End Of Life

Camino reaches its end

After a decade-long run, Camino is no longer being developed, and we encourage all users to upgrade to a more modern browser. Camino is increasingly lagging behind the fast pace of changes on the web, and more importantly it is not receiving security updates, making it increasingly unsafe to use.

Fortunately, Mac users have many more browsers to choose from than they did when Camino started ten years ago. Former Camino developers have helped build the three most popular – Chrome, Firefox, and Safari – so while this is the end of Camino itself, the community that helped build it is still making the web better for Mac users.

Thank you to all our loyal users, and to everyone who contributed in countless ways over the years to make Camino what it was.

As a matter of fact I am using Camino to write this very post just like many posts in the past. I do notice that Camino does not support a lot of CSS tags. Ironically, Camino still renders web pages better than Internet Explorer.
