What is Ultrabook?
What’s better than Ultrabook?
Does it mean anything?
NO!
The naming system is as useless as the term “4G” or “SuperPhone“.
Speaking of “SuperPhone”, it will never save you from the Super-Villains. Does anyone remember when Google called Nexus One as “SuperPhone”?
One thing I’m missing in Twitter 4.0 for iPhone is the ability to quickly switch between accounts. The new interface now adds one extra step. Previously you only have to tap the “Accounts” arrow on the top left of the app. With Twitter 4.0 for iPhone, you have to tap “Me”, scroll to the bottom of the page, then “Switch accounts”.
Safari 5.1.1 is still suffering from hang-ups and excessive memory usage despite of what Apple claimed. In OS X Lion, Safari 5.1.1 hangs up when opening multiple tabs or windows. Safari 5.1 becomes unresponsive as phantom page reloads occur.
I noticed this as I was downloading files in the background. The download was interrupted as the phantom page reloads happened.
A short rant.
Who keeps giving money to financial analysts? About 90% of the time their predictions are way off. If companies are run by these financial analyst, they would go bankrupt.
Case point:
Financial analysts can finally say that Apple is missing their expectations; for the first time since 2004. Probably they are now selling all their Apple stocks, right? Financial analyst is like a bookie who determines the odds and point spread on sporting games. They are gamblers at heart.
Pretty sure these financial analyst are eager to buy back Apple stock after they brought it down.
Yesterday, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing Phil Schiller introduced iPhone 4S; the successor to to 2010’s iPhone 4. The reaction was mixed but the negative ones are louder. To paraphrased:
Let’s take a look at what’s good about iPhone 4S:
For the past few years, some pundits were criticizing Apple for adopting the “Detroit model”. To paraphrase:
Here’s a new iPod/iPhone/iPad. It looks different, so you must buy new one. Just like the Detroit industries adding “wings” to the cars.
So, when Apple sticks to a great iPhone 4 design:
What’s this iPhone 4S? It looks like an iPhone 4. We want to see new design.
It is imperative to stop taking the pundits seriously. We should have done so years ago.
