Blackout, in protest of SOPA and PIPA.

We are supporting the January 18th, 2012 Blackout in protest of SOPA and PIPA. All of our sites will participate in the blackout. 37prime.wordpress.com will display a banner in support of the blackout.

We believe that SOPA and PIPA greatly undermine the First and Fourth Amendments of the United States Constitution.

More info on LinkedIn spam.

We received more informations on the spam purporting from LinkedIn. It is obvious the emails do not come from LinkedIn. Email sender can easily be spoofed.

From the email headers:

The spam even dares to say:

Stop spamming me!

If you see any mails purporting from LinkedIn, do not click on any of the links. As a matter of fact, make it a habit not to click on any links in emails.

OS X Lion: Error opening terminal: xterm-256color

OS X Lion > Terminal.app > Error opening terminal: xterm-256color

I encountered this error when issuing the commands:

  • ssh
  • pico
  • nano

There might be other commands affected by this error.

A quick Google search shows that the problem lies within /usr/share/terminfo/ folder.  The answers that solved my problem is:

I replaced the “terminfo” folder from OS X Lion installer but the problem persisted. So I downloaded it from the link provided in the Apple Discussions Board. It solved the problem.
