We were having issue with the MySQL database and had to run the repair command.
Flickr, Now With One Free Terabyte.
Flickr has a new design and comes with one free terabyte of storage.
In lieu of Flickr Pro account, users can go Ad Free for $49.99 a year. In addition to that Flickr offers another terabyte of storage for $499.99 a year.
I personally won’t spend $499.99 a year for an extra terabyte of extra storage.
Yahoo! to acquire Tumblr while avoiding the letter “E”
It is official, Yahoo! to acquire Tumblr. for 1.1 Billion Dollars, US Dollars.
Per the agreement and our promise not to screw it up, Tumblr will be independently operated as a separate business. David Karp will remain CEO. The product, service and brand will continue to be defined and developed separately with the same Tumblr irreverence, wit, and commitment to empower creators.
That is one promise for Yahoo! to keep.
Then again, Yahoo! has been pretty good with their other “E”-deficient acquisition known as Flickr.
At least one guy named David at Tumblr is excited about the acquisition.
By the way, there’s the period at the end of Tumblr’s logo. It matches the exclamation point at the end of Yahoo!.

Star Trek Into Darkness hast just premiered and retailers are already taking pre-orders for the movie. For example, Amazon.com and iTunes are reminding customers that they can pre-order the movie even if they had not seen it in the theater.

So here it is, the second Star Trek movie from J.J. Abrams and his team of writers. Just like its 2009 predecessor, it is an Action and Adventure movie in a Science-Fiction’s clothing. Think of Star Trek Into Darkness as combination of Transformers and Prometheus. Well, it is written by the people who penned Transformers and Prometheus. This movie is plagued with plot holes and lack of originality. The seemingly clever plot twists ruined the story telling. If you fancy lens-flares, then you would love Star Trek Into Darkness.
