{"id":7317,"date":"2011-12-26T22:26:17","date_gmt":"2011-12-27T06:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/37prime.wordpress.com\/?p=7317"},"modified":"2011-12-26T22:26:17","modified_gmt":"2011-12-27T06:26:17","slug":"moving-domain-name-away-from-go-daddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/37prime.com\/news\/2011\/12\/26\/moving-domain-name-away-from-go-daddy\/","title":{"rendered":"Moving domain name away from Go Daddy."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Previously on the 37prime, the internet and real life:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go Daddy supports SOPA.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Move Your Domain Day&#8221;, <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/tech-policy\/news\/2011\/12\/godaddy-faces-december-29-boycott-over-sopa-support.ars\" target=\"_blank\">boycott against Go Daddy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Go Daddy says it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.godaddy.com\/newscenter\/release-view.aspx?news_item_id=378\" target=\"_blank\">no longer supports for SOPA<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>People <a href=\"http:\/\/donttreadonmike.com\/2011\/12\/24\/godaddy-not-only-helped-write-sopa-they-are-also-exempt-from-it-scumbags\" target=\"_blank\">don&#8217;t believe<\/a> that Go Daddy truly dropped its support for SOPA.<\/li>\n<li>Go Daddy insists that it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.godaddy.com\/newscenter\/release-view.aspx?news_item_id=379\" target=\"_blank\">does not support PIPA<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are Go Daddy&#8217;s intensions pure or just damage control?<\/p>\n<p>Well, I have been wanting to move the only domain I have away from Go Daddy for a long time. I registered the domain name through Google Apps and at that time Go Daddy was the only option given.
