Today <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/presspass\/press\/2011\/jan11\/01-05SOCsupport.mspx\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft announces<\/a> support of System on a Chip Architectures From Intel, AMD, and ARM for next version of Windows.<\/p>\n<p>Next version of Windows? Do you mean Windows 8?<br \/>\nMicrosoft have not officially called the next version of Windows as Windows 8 yet.<\/p>\n<p>Is it anything new?<br \/>\nNot really. Windows NT kernel was ported to PPC and DEC-Alpha back in the 90&#8217;s.
