Apple has quietly added the ability to send a picture from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone<\/a> directly to the Web Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>When the &#8220;Send to Web Gallery&#8221; button mysteriously appeared during <a href=\"http:\/\/events.apple.com.edgesuite.net\/r27842e\/event\/index.html?test=q1wa2sz3x\" target=\"_blank\">Apple Special Event &#8211; August 2007<\/a>, it came back and returned an error message. In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twit.tv\/\" target=\"_blank\">TWiT<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twit.tv\/mbw52\" target=\"_blank\">MacBreak Weekly 52<\/a>, even Merlin Mann couldn&#8217;t figure out (at that moment) why this feature wouldn&#8217;t work. Eventually, the whole casts; Leo Laporte, Merlin Mann, Scott Bourne, Andy Ihnatko, and Alex Lindsay didn&#8217;t know how to make it work. (time stamp: 10 minutes)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery_iphone01.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery - iPhone 01\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>None of your .Mac accounts have been configured for posting from mobile devices.<br \/>\nYou must first enable this feature on the .Mac website.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery_iphone02.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery - iPhone 02\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The informations on .Mac website says that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>If you don&#8217;t see the Send To Gallery item, make sure you&#8217;ve set up your .Mac email address on your phone and that your iPhone has the latest software updates. For more information about using iPhone, see the documentation that came with it.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Before we go further, let&#8217;s get to the basic requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">.Mac Account<\/a>; make sure they are set-up on the Mac and the iPhone<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/ilife\/iphoto\/\" target=\"_blank\">iPhoto &#8217;08<\/a> (part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/ilife\/\" target=\"_blank\">iLife &#8217;08<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Creating the Web Gallery:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In iPhoto &#8217;08, select the pictures to be included in the Web Gallery. Then click on the &#8220;Web Gallery&#8221; button (circled in red as pictured below)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery01.jpg\" title=\"Web Gallery 01\" class=\"imagelink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery01.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery 01\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Check the &#8220;Allow photo uploading by email&#8221;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery02.jpg\" title=\"Web Gallery 02\" class=\"imagelink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery02.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery 02\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>On the sidebar, the newly created Web Gallery appears. You can rename the Web Gallery after it was created. On the top bar, you can find the web address and the email for that particular Web Gallery. You can send picture to the email address (on the top right as pictured below).<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery03.jpg\" title=\"Web Gallery 03\" class=\"imagelink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery03.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery 03\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>The newly created Web Gallery can be accessed through the address on the top bar or directly to http:\/\/gallery.mac.com\/your.dot.mac.name.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery04.jpg\" title=\"Web Gallery 04\" class=\"imagelink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery04.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery 04\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">To add photo from iPhone directly to Web Gallery:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure you&#8217;ve set up your .Mac email account on your iPhone.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the photo you want add to your Web Gallery.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the Send Photo button (in the lower-left corner of the screen).<\/li>\n<li>Tap Send To Web Gallery.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery_iphone01.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery - iPhone 01\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Tap the Web Gallery album to which you want to add your photo.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery_iphone03.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery - iPhone 03\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In the email that appears, enter a title for the photo in the subject of the email.<br \/>\nThe subject you enter becomes the title of the photo on your Web Gallery<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/37prime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/08\/webgallery_iphone04.jpg\" alt=\"Web Gallery - iPhone 04\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Send the email.
