The battery was not even detected by the MacBook Pro, but as soon as I showed it to Johnny (an Apple Genius) it worked. I was baffled until we noticed that <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/apple\/news\/2006\/06\/4357.ars\" target=\"_blank\">the battery was expanding<\/a>. For sure it was immediately replaced.
