The most famous Ox Day in Japan (one or two days with an interval of 12 days) are on the hottest time of the year (late July \u2013 early August), which is also characterized by high humidity. The main dish of this day is\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kabayaki\">kabayaki<\/a><\/em>, baked or fried eel (<em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Unagi\">unagi<\/a><\/em>) with sweet\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Teriyaki\">teriyaki sauce<\/a>.\u00a0This high-fat food is said to help maintain strength during this hot season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note:<br>The photo was taken by yours truly back in February 13, 2010 and posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/37prime\/4358869842\/\">Flickr<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another Note:<br>There are projects that we&#8217;re working on with references to &#8220;Day of the Ox&#8221; and &#8220;Procrastinating with Friends&#8221;.
