Metallica released its biggest selling album on August 12, 1991; that’s twenty-five years ago to the date. Metallica’s\u00a0self-titled album, spawned five singles:<\/p>\n

  2. “The Unforgiven”<\/li>\n
  3. “Nothing Else Matters”<\/li>\n
  4. “Wherever I May Roam”<\/li>\n
  5. “Sad But True”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    “The Black Album” as it is commonly referred to, went on to sell more than 16 million copies as of August,\u00a02015 in the United States alone. Per Wikipedia article<\/a>, It has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. In February, 2016 “The Black Album” was selling about 5,000 units per week<\/a>; better than many newly released\u00a0records that month.<\/p>\n

    “The Black Album” was\u00a0the record that helped Metallica break into the mainstream music scene.<\/p>\n

    On May 7, 2012<\/a> Metallica performed “The Black Album” in its entirety from the last song to the first in\u00a0Prague, Czech Republic.<\/p>\n
