Anti-Spywares (free versions) for Windows
Spyware How To
To remove Spywares off Windows 2000 and Windows XP:
- Obtain Anti Spyware applications listed above:
- Install and update the Anti Spywares. Turn the real time protections for Microsoft Defender. Activate the immunizations for Spybot. Turn the protection on for SpywareBlaster.
- Run the spyware scan on Spybot, ad-Aware, and Microsoft Defender. Remove all the detected spyware infections at the end of each scan.
- If needed, boot Windows into "Safe Mode" (hit F8 key when the computer is booting up). Run Ad-Aware and Spybot scans, remove all the detected spyware infections.
- Check the "Explorer Shell" registry for malicious entries:
- Click "Start" > "Run" > Type in "regedit"
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows NT > Current Version > Winlogon
- Look for the key "Shell"; you should only see "Explorer.exe" in the value. Remove any entries other than "Explorer.exe"
- Clean up the "Startup" menu and the "Run" registry:
- Click "Start" > "Run" > Type in "regedit"
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run
- Remove any suspicious registry entries.
- Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > RunService or RunAsService and remove the entries.
- Check HKEY_CURENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run for suspicious entries. Also check the RunService or RunAsService
- Advance procedure: launch "Task Manager, stop "Explorer.exe", launch the Anti Spyware programs by using the "New Task" button, then run the scans and remove infections.
- Repeat the steps to confirm that the spywares have been removed.
- Make sure Anti Virus program is installed.
If the Spywares persist, the best way is to back up your documents and data, clean install Windows. Apply all security updates, install Anti Virus Program, and all the Anti Spywares.

Feed RSS into HTML Page
One feature of Digg.com that I really like is the ability to add Digg News into any HTML site of your own (http://digg.com/add-digg). It is a process of parsing RSS Feed, and translate them into text/html and using javascript to display it on an html page.

Andrew Escobar reposted his infamous Front Row Enabler for Macs without built in iSight. Previously Andrew Escobar pulled the project after receiving a supposed cease-and-desist letter from Apple. Escobar now believes that the cease-and-desist letter was fake and not originated from Apple.

iPod How To
If iPod does not turn on, do the followings:
- Make sure that iPod battery is charged.
- Reset the iPod by turning the "Hold" switch on and off. Press hold "Select" (the middle button) and "Menu" simultaneously for a few seconds.
- Connect the iPod to the power adapter or to the computer and reset the iPod.
- If all the above steps failed, charge the iPod battery for a while then reset the iPod again.
