Still got the crashing Flash plug-in blues. January 15, 2011
Posted by very in : Announcement, Media, News, Resources, Tech, Troubleshooting , add a commentThis is one of the typical error messages when using Google Chrome.
I am guessing that Google Talk within the Gmail is using Flash, and it crashed for no apparent reasons that I could think of.

Google to remove h.264 support from Chrome. January 11, 2011
Posted by 37prime in : Announcement, Applications, Apps, Media, News, Resources, Tech , add a commentAccording to The Chromium Blog:
…we are changing Chrome’s HTML5 <video> support to make it consistent with the codecs already supported by the open Chromium project. Specifically, we are supporting the WebM (VP8) and Theora video codecs, and will consider adding support for other high-quality open codecs in the future. Though H.264 plays an important role in video, as our goal is to enable open innovation, support for the codec will be removed and our resources directed towards completely open codec technologies.
So will Chrome still support Flash Player? Flash Player is the container for many video formats including h.264.
Does this mean Google would not support non-open/proprietary codec like h.264 but support a non-open/proprietary container like Flash?

Designing and re-designing the homepage. January 2, 2011
Posted by 37prime in : Announcement, News, Resources, Tech , add a commentI have been working on new design for 37prime.com homepage for the last month in 2010 and it’s now going live one day later than I scheduled. As of now I am still working on the design, adding and subtracting features from the page. I aim to have a much cleaner and more modern look for the page. The page is constructed using HTML, CSS and PHP. I am avoiding the use of Javascript with the exception of one for Google Analytics.
The page is best viewed on Webkit-based-browsers such as Chrome and Safari, while it maintains almost all the features when viewed on Firefox 4 (currently still in beta) and Internet Explorer 9 (also currently in beta).
