All Squared Up. January 25, 2012

About a week before Christmas 2011, I helped setting up credit card payment system using Square for a small bakery in the Long Beach, California. All they need are: a wireless access point, an iPod touch and Square card reader. In addition to that, they are also accepting card payment at farmers market in Long Beach, Culver City and Pasadena. According to the bakery owner, they are gaining new customers by simply accepting card payment.
The next project is to redesign Sconeage Bakery website.

Adobe Flash and HTML5. November 9, 2011
Posted by very in : Announcement, iOS, iPad, iPhone, iPod, News, Tech , add a commentThe headline: “Adobe to cease Flash development for mobile browsers, refocus efforts on HTML5.”
I had a conversation with a cousin of a friend who turned out to be one of Adobe Senior Vice President. We had a brief conversation about tablets. He told me to get the one from Motorola or RIM instead of an iPad. The reason: Adobe Flash. I do not remember exactly when, but it was definitely sometimes in December 2010.
Flash forward (no pun intended) to November 9th, 2011 around 18:00 hour. I just got the confirmation for a meeting with this Adobe Senior Vice President a few weeks from today.
I would have a good 120 minutes to talk to him on multiple subjects. Now, what topics should I discuss with him?

Posted by very in : Apple, iPod, Music, News, Resources, Tech , add a commentOctober 23rd, 2011 marks the 10th year anniversary of the original iPod. One of many fun facts about the original iPod was the inclusion of a written message on the plastic wrap.
“Don’t steal music.”
The message “Don’t steal music.” still presents in iPod F.A.Q. at Apple Support page; scroll to the bottom.
