If I remembered it correctly starting with WordPress 3.2 requires PHP5 and mySQL 5.

The Paranoids and Opportunists: Apple Location History Debacle.
If you are a paranoid, you should immediately abandon anything you have made by Apple. Throwaway your iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse, Apple Keyboard, etc.
Since you’ve just read it on the Internet, then everything you could fear must be true. Someone just reposted the content from someone else’s site on a blog.
If you are an opportunist, this is the perfect time to bash Apple. How dare Apple become a popular brand? I use [insert a branded product here] and it is a million times better than Apple ever made.
If you are another type of an opprtunist, you should file lawsuit against Apple right now. You don’t need to have all the facts as long as you’re making headlines.
If you are a paranoid and an opprtunist, you definitely should stand on a soap box. After doing so, get yourself any attorney who would file lawsuit against Apple. You don’t need to know the fact because once you do you might not be able to sue.

Please do panic and abandon Apple.
Since everyone on the Internet is saying that Apple is definitely tracking your iOS movement, then it must be true. To make matter worse, Senator Al Franken (D-MN) and Representative Ed Markey (D-MA) have sent queries to Steve Jobs about this issue. Adding insults to the injuries, thousands if not infinite numbers of bloggers are busy wearing out their “C” and “V” keys reposting the story over and over again. Apple must be the bad guy, right?
What are you waiting for, its time to abandon Apple. Throw away your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Buy only Android/Windows Phone 7/webOS/Blackberry/etc. that is non Apple devices. Please do panic now.

Is it cool to hate Apple, again?
So Apple is suing Samsung alleging that Samsung is copying Apple’s iOS devices. As usual, there are a lot of “internet people” cursing at Apple.
Apple this, Apple that!
I wonder if it is cool to hate Apple, again.
Has anyone forgot that Microsoft is asserting that Linux is infringing on their patents? Sure, it was way back in 2007. Microsoft is now gunning for a linux-based mobile OS known as Android. That’s a much bigger problem. Then again, right now it is not cool to hate Microsoft.

Nokia and The Downward Spiral.
Nokia once was the most dominant player in mobile phone market. Nokia is now a desperate Microsoft’s whipping boy.
Signing deal with Microsot seems to be the last resort before losing many patent suit.

CES 2011: The thrill is gone already.
CES is still going on today and I’m somewhat bored already. Why?
- There are not enough dancing from the press events and the keynotes.
- There are not enough the same thing that we might or might not see this year.
- There are not enough the “We might build this in mass quantity and actually sell it some day” products.
- There are not enough of the 3D displays that still far from being good.
- There are not enough tablet computing devices.
I’m optimistic that better product will emerge after CES 2011 ended. Afterall, we still have 51 weeks for new exciting products that people can actually get.

Heading out to meet with Carlos Alazraqui and Sean Corvelle.
I’m heading out to Lexington Theatre in Los Angeles for Carlos Alazraqui and friends show. Sean Corvelle will be the host for the evening. We’re planning to spend the rest of the evening somewhere in Downtown Los Angeles after the show.

A crazy little thing called smartphone-related-lawsuits.
The news broke that Apple has filed countersuits against Motorola over iPhone multi-touch patents.

Apple was expected to countersue after Motorola filed pre-emptive suit against Apple in early October 2010. Prior to filing the suits against Apple, Motorola was sued by Microsoft over Android. Microsoft is alleging that Android is infringing their patents.
Let’s not forget the lawsuits between Apple and HTC and the “Patent deal” between Microsoft and HTC. It’s all related to Android.
It is a mess!

Waiting for the SSD to arrive.
I am growing impatient. Still waiting for the ADATA 128GB S599 SandForce 2.5-inch SSD that I ordered last week. Based on the tracking number, it has now been sitting in the local distribution center since Thursday, waiting to be delivered. It should have been delivered on Friday or Saturday but now I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.
Things I learned about the future from Movies: Star Trek
I picked up Apple TV on October 1st, 2010 and I have been watching a few movies from the past few years. For this installment, I’d like to say a few thing about Star Trek movie. The one with young Kirk and Spock. The one from J.J. Abrams.
I would like to focus a few things about the future that I learnd from this movie.
- Apparently Nokia will still be around. Where are Android and iPhone?
- The Beastie Boys will still be rocking the future.
- People still drink Budweiser.
OK, back to watching the movie.
