Windows XP Service Pack 3: Windows Security Center

My friend managed to download Windows XP Service Pack 3 before it was pulled off Microsoft servers earlier today.

Anyway, we clean installed Windows XP with SP2, then applied SP3.

One weird thing that we noticed was Windows Security Center. It just doesn’t look right.

    Okay….I’ve got another Windows XP SP3 Security Center issue. I’ve set the automatic updates to auto-download at 3AM….however I keep getting the annoying Windows Security Alert icon in my system tray which keeps buggin’ me to turn the automatic updates on………..!!!!!!

    Very annoying….my next step is to search for a way to shut it off the warning completely….

    The other solution is to turn off the service itself.
    Start > Run > services.msc
    Look for “Security Center” and then disable the service.
