The news broke earlier today that Taiwan-based computer maker Acer will be acquiring Gateway Computer.
I have been purchasing Gateway computers for the past two years and happy with their service. On the other hand, I don’t really like Acer-branded computers for numbers of reasons. They are mostly personal reasons. For example, Acer shipped their computers running Windows XP with FAT-32 file format. Their computer design is far from being great.
Anyway, I currently have a pretty good business relation with Gateway, and I hope that it continues. Gateway has just recently moved portions of their assembly factory back into the United States. The latest computer I purchased direct from Gateway was assembled in the US.
By acquiring Gateway and its subsidiary, Acer is now the third largest PC company in the world.

Web Gallery is the newest feature for both .Mac Service and iPhoto ‘08 (iLife ‘08). Apple has quietly added the ability to send a picture from the iPhone directly to the Web Gallery.
When the “Send to Web Gallery” button mysteriously appeared during Apple Special Event - August 2007, it came back and returned an error message. In TWiT’s MacBreak Weekly 52, even Merlin Mann couldn’t figure out (at that moment) why this feature wouldn’t work. Eventually, the whole casts; Leo Laporte, Merlin Mann, Scott Bourne, Andy Ihnatko, and Alex Lindsay didn’t know how to make it work. (time stamp: 10 minutes)

It says:
None of your .Mac accounts have been configured for posting from mobile devices.
You must first enable this feature on the .Mac website.

The informations on .Mac website says that:
If you don’t see the Send To Gallery item, make sure you’ve set up your .Mac email address on your phone and that your iPhone has the latest software updates. For more information about using iPhone, see the documentation that came with it.
Before we go further, let’s get to the basic requirements:
Creating the Web Gallery:
- In iPhoto ‘08, select the pictures to be included in the Web Gallery. Then click on the “Web Gallery” button (circled in red as pictured below)

- Check the “Allow photo uploading by email”

- On the sidebar, the newly created Web Gallery appears. You can rename the Web Gallery after it was created. On the top bar, you can find the web address and the email for that particular Web Gallery. You can send picture to the email address (on the top right as pictured below).

- The newly created Web Gallery can be accessed through the address on the top bar or directly to http://gallery.mac.com/your.dot.mac.name.

To add photo from iPhone directly to Web Gallery:
- Make sure you’ve set up your .Mac email account on your iPhone.
- Choose the photo you want add to your Web Gallery.
- Tap the Send Photo button (in the lower-left corner of the screen).
- Tap Send To Web Gallery.

- Tap the Web Gallery album to which you want to add your photo.

- In the email that appears, enter a title for the photo in the subject of the email.
The subject you enter becomes the title of the photo on your Web Gallery

- Send the email. The picture will automatically be added to the selected Web Gallery.
