07.30.2006 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Exchange Program
Back in May 2006, some MacosXrumors.com reported that Apple was replacing certain 15-inch MacBook Pro batteries which are failing.
"Symptoms of battery failure include battery cutting off power to the system at very early stages, sporadic ampere hour reporting (coconutBattery), and the battery failing to respond when pressing the charging status button (after being charged and only slightly drained)."
From Apple site:
"Apple has initiated a worldwide battery exchange program for certain rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with 15-inch MacBook Pro computer systems from February 2006 through May 2006."
"The affected batteries have model number A1175 and a 12-digit serial number that ends with U7SA, U7SB or U7SC. To view the model and serial numbers located on the bottom of the battery, you must remove the battery from the computer. The battery serial number is located above the barcode. See photos below. Only batteries within the noted serial number ranges need to be exchanged."
"No other MacBook Pro or MacBook batteries are part of this program."

Metallica music catalogue is now available on iTunes Music Store. Previously Metallica songs were only available on online music store as full album purchase. Now they can be purchased individually. The first four albums: "Kill 'Em All", "Ride The Lightning", "Master Of Puppets", and "...And Justice For All" come with bonus live tracks for "Album Purchase" only.
Metallica is known to be he band who sued the Original Napster for "illegal music sharing" back in the late 1990's. Such action created a huge backlash on the internet against Metallica.
